How to run it.

  1. Park a device by the speakers

    An old phone or tablet near the music does the listening. Put the lyrics on a TV if there's one in the room.

  2. Open with the room-fillers

    Start with the songs every guest knows the chorus to. Once the room is loud, the deep cuts come out.

  3. Share the setlist after

    lyricspin keeps a running setlist of the night. Share it at the end and send it to the group chat. It's the best receipt of the night.

Sure. It's a web page, so anyone can open lyricspin.app and tap Listen. There's nothing to install and no account to make.
Does it work with Spotify or a streaming speaker?
Yes. lyricspin identifies songs by listening through the microphone, so it works with anything that makes sound: streaming, vinyl, a TV, a DJ.
How loud does it need to be?
Party volume is fine. Keep the listening device reasonably close to a speaker. If it misses a song, see the recognition tips.
