    Go around the room, youngest first, no vetoes. Yes, that includes the fourth encore of the movie song. Grown-ups pick the record.

Before you pass the mic.

What do we need for karaoke night at home?
Something that plays music (a TV, a turntable, a speaker), a phone or tablet with lyricspin open nearby, and ideally an inexpensive karaoke mic or two. That's the whole kit: no karaoke subscription, no special versions of songs.
Is it OK for kids to use?
Yes. There's no account, no chat, no uploads and nothing to download. It's a web page that listens to the music and shows the words. The lyrics are the real lyrics, so pick songs the way you would for a car ride.
What if a song has no karaoke version?
Doesn't matter. lyricspin works with the original recording, so if the song exists, it can go on the setlist.
